Much like the recent storm hit the northern region the prior day, the home side blew United away at the Etihad Stadium. It was a statement three goal victory for their manager's side thanks to goals from Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a display that truly announced their title credentials as they reinforced their position at the league summit.

Consecutive Losses for Manchester United

This outcome represented back-to-back Women's Super League setbacks for Skinner's side for the first time since last May, placing them seven points off the league leaders with their trophy ambitions hanging by a thread.
